DeucesJack: Oh yeah! Check those clouds out, man. I got the new Smok Devilkin Kit. Let’s not waste any time. Let’s cut down low. Let’s check it out. I’ll go over the menu system. We’ll cut back on top, we’re going to talk about it a little bit. Cons, pros, we’re out of here. See you down low.

All right everyone, welcome to the down low portion of this video. Today, we have the Smok Devilkin Kit for you. Quick tour around the box. A little barcode there for an App. some scratch and sniff on this side. Let’s zoom in for the contents, right there. If you want to freeze this, feel free to. You’ll see in this kit, you get a Devilkin mod, TFV12 Prince tank, .4 ohm coil, .12 ohm coil, replacement glass, USB cable, user manual and spare parts.
Let’s open this bad boy up and see what we actually have here. Toss that sleeve to the side. Let’s get this box open. There you have it. Let’s zoom out a little bit. That is the Devilkin. We’re going to put that to the side for a second so I can show you the content of the box. Take out the foam insert, we got al the usual paper working crap. Here is the Smok warranty card, Smok battery safety card and the Devilkin user manual. File all that to the side. We got some silica gel, we have some spare parts here, some o rings and some gaskets. Nice job on that. We have a USB cable for charging and updates and we have a spare glass. Please take note. The spare glass is straight. The one that comes preinstalled is a bubble glass. Here is your spare coil. This is the .12 ohm coil. Good for 60 to 120 watts. Best rating from 80 to 110 watts. That’s big boy, man. There’s some wire in there and there’s some cotton in there. Look at those juicing slots. Nice job on it. Still no material on the coil. Come on, Smok, get with it. Put the material on the coil itself.
FROM TOP TO BOTTOM
Here is the tank. I’m going to put this box to the side for now. I’m going to show you the pre-installed coil. That is the .4 ohm, good from 40 to 100 watts with the best of rating from 60-80 watts. You could see, just one big coil with lots of cotton in there. Plenty of wicking ports. Nice job on that.
This is a bottom airflow tank. It’s got stoppers on both ends. Whatever you do on one, happens on the other. On the bottom, we have some Smok branding, gold plated 510, insulator ring, stainless steel threading. Threading on it is very smooth. It does fit with all my other mods with no issues. On the top here we got a honeycomb snakeskin type of drip tip. Typical Smok drip tip. 810 style with 2 o’rings over there. Nice deep juice cup there. Clear markings as to where you open it. Locking mechanism over here. Push and slide. That’s where you fill your juice up. In order to put it back, you push it down and it locks in. bubble glass over here. I believe this has 7 ml capacity. That’s pretty good. Let’s put it back together. Put that drip tip back in there. Kind of going to get a little juice on that first because it’s really tight. Put the tank on to the mod so you can see what they look like together. They did a really nice job matching the mod color to the outside over here. I really do.
Let’s zoom out a little bit. Let’s take a quick tour around the actual mod. Take this tank off so I can show you the 510 connection. Over here, we got a stainless steel plate, gold plated 510s, spring loaded. Call it a medium throw with a medium spring to it. Threading inside is very smooth. Top plate is held on by 4 star screws. Nice anodized blue around the screen here. Screen has got like a tear drop look. A little bit of venting over here. Here are your plus and minus button. Here is your USB port. For updating and charging. This is your fire button. Has a really nice clicky feel to it. Real solid. They did a nice job on it, again, some more anodized blue accenting with that honeycomb theme going on. Some Smok Devilkin branding.
A little bit of venting over here. I love this little contour here. I don’t know if you can see that. See that? That really gives it a nice grip when you’re holding it in your hand. I really like that. I’m diggin that.
Pull the latch on the door. Open the door. Really nice job they did on the door. It’s very very solid. You can see, we have A and B batteries mark, negative, plus. We have gold plated button style contacts over here. If you look down the tube, you’ll be able to see plus and minus indicators. Those gold things there are battery contacts. They are gold plated and spring loaded. Let’s load some batteries into it. Positive side up over here. Negative side up over here. Shut the door and latch it.
Now you’ll be able to see the screen. 1 2 3 4 5, turns the mod on. You’ll see the Smok come up. I’m going to shut the over head lights off for this section because again, I think the screen shows up better. Now, the screen is as follows. A little bit of Smok branding battery meter, wattage or mode, ohms, preheat, you can see I have it in hard, voltage and puff counter.
THE MENU SYSTEM
Very simple menu system but let’s first, let me show you the plus and minus buttons. Plus buttons on the right. This mod goes all the way up to 225 watts. Scrolls in 1 watt increments. Glad for that especially during the fast scroll. Under a 100 watts, it scrolls in .1 watt increments. Let’s put it back up to the 80 watts. In order to get to the main menu system, you hit the fire button 3 times. Now you can see we’re in wattage mode. Now let’s say I want to change the wattage, I hard press the fire bar and now I can adjust the wattage up or down. Hard press again and now I can adjust my preheat between normal, soft and hard. I normally keep it on normal. Hold the down again and I’m back into the main screen.
1 2 3, gets me back into the menu screen again. You can see the different modes. We have wattage, titanium, nickel, stainless steel and your memory mode right there. Let’s put it in back into wattage mode. Now this is your puff setting mode right here. You can adjust all your puffs, clear it, see how many puffs you had.
Keep pressing the fire button to scroll to the menu system. This is where you adjust your font coloring. I like it on blue. Hold your fire button to adjust your screen time. I don’t know why mine said it’s 60. I normally like it in less than that. We’ll set it at 20. Hold the fire button to put it into auto lock mode or not.
1 2 3, keep clicking to go through the menu. Now this is your power off screen. You can shut the mod off from here. Now, in order to lock the mod, 1 2 3 4 5, now the mod is locked. 1 2 3 4 5, now the mod is unlocked.
That’s it folks. That’s all I got for you on the Smok Devilkin Kit. let’s cut back on top. Let’s talk about it a little bit. Cons, pros and then we’re out of here as usual. See you back on top.
Oh yeah! We’re back on top with the Smok Devilkin Kit. you just saw it down low, man. I went over everything. This is a nice mod. I got to say. There’s really really not a lot to complain about. I got a couple of little cons but for the most part, it’s mostly pros. So let’s not waste any time, let’s get right into it.
First con is going to be, I wish they would have centered that 510 or at least pulled that back a little bit. You can run a 30 millimeter on here. It’s going to have a little bit of overhang. 28s will look better. I think they did a great job with this tank alone but we’ll get to that in a minute.
Other con is going to be, Smo, what’s up? No mesh coil? You guys just came out with a mesh coil [Inaudible 10:13] tank. Why didn’t you put it in the kit? Mesh coil are a new thing. They’re the best sub ohm coil you can get now. I love them personally. I’ve been getting great flavor, great coil longevity out of them. You guys missed the boat by not putting a mesh coil in this kit. I’m going to give them a con for that.
Other thing I’m going to give them a con for is the TC. unfortunately, it’s typical Smok TC. it’s just not that good. It’s barely dry hit protection. Smok, you really got to do us a favor. You got to work on your TC you’re doing a great screen, great menu system. But the TC needs work, man. Do us a favor and work on it.
Now, let’s get into the pros. Pros are ergonomics, man. First thing you feel when you put this mod in your hand. You see that little curve there? What they did there, that thing is so nice. It feels so great in your hand no matter which way you hold it. It just feels awesome in your hand. They’re going to get a pro for ergonomics.
Going to give them a pro for build quality. This thing’s built well. No rattles, no button rattles, no nothing. Good job on that Smok.
Also going to give them a pro on the chipset. Even though it doesn’t do TC well, in power mode, it’s very accurate. I feel it’s hitting the full wattage. I vape it next to my DNA and Yihi boards and it’s performing on the same levels than in wattage mode.
Also going to give them a pro for the great screen. That screen, it’s awesome. It really is. I wish it was a little bit more customizable. But you can adjust the color of the font if you want to. Great job on the screen.
Let’s give them a pro on the fact that it’s firmware upgradable. You always get a pro on this channel for that.
Going to give them a pro on the capacity of the tank. This thing holds a lot of juice. Pro on that.
Let’s give them a pro on the flavor and the cloudage that the tank produces. This thing chucks cloud, got really good flavor.
Going to give them a pro on the simple menu system. Typical Smok menu system. Very simple, very easy, very intuitive. Good job on that.
Going to give them a big pro on the latch that they put on that battery door. I like the fact that you can put this mod down and that battery door ain’t going nowhere. Good on you Smok.
Let’s give them a pro on the great paint job on thi mod the paint has been holding up. I’ve had it for well over a month. Been shoving in and out of my pocket and in my bag. Paint is not chipping. I love the little anodizing that they did. The little anodizing accents around it. Awesome job on that. And that brings us to our next pro.
They match the tank to the anodizing beautifully. Great job on that, pro for that.
The other pro I’m going to give them, even though I gave them a con for not including the mesh coil, i’m going to give them a pro for putting 2 coils in the pack. I like that. A lot of companies are getting away from it. Glad you stuck with it Smok. 2 coils in the pack, that’s going to be a pro especially 2 different coils. Good job on that.
